Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of SafariLegacy websites, apps, storage, and related features (the Service). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Quick summary

  • You own the stories, photos, videos, and data you upload.
  • We receive a limited, revocable license to host and process that content only to operate the Service and features you enable.
  • Paid Hunter plans unlock private memories and premium storage; Free memories are public by default.
  • Follow the law, respect wildlife and people, and upload only content you have rights to share.
  • Cancel anytime. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
  • Disputes are handled under South African law unless mandatory local law says otherwise.

Who may use the Service

You must be able to form a binding contract in your place of residence or have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for safeguarding your login details and for all activity under your account. Contact us immediately at info@mysafarilegacy.com if you notice unauthorized access or a security issue.

Your content and our license

You retain full ownership of the content, text, audio, video, metadata, and other materials you submit or create ("Content"). To operate, secure, and improve the Service, you grant SafariLegacy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process for technical reasons (such as encoding, compression, and thumbnails), publicly display, transmit, and distribute your Content strictly in connection with the Service and features you choose to enable.

This license ends when you delete the Content from the Service, subject to reasonable technical retention for backups, compliance, or legal obligations. If you share Content publicly or with invited viewers, you also grant them a license to view and interact with the Content through the Service.

Plans, billing, and cancellations

SafariLegacy currently offers Free and Hunter plans. Free accounts may create a limited number of memories that are public by default. Hunter accounts unlock private memories, additional storage, and other premium features described at checkout. Fees are billed in USD unless stated otherwise. Local taxes may apply.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from your account or by contacting support. Cancelling stops future charges and lets you keep access for the remainder of the paid term. Refund eligibility follows the Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break any laws, promote illegal wildlife trade, glorify cruelty, harass or threaten others, or infringe the rights of any person or organization. Upload only ethical hunting content that complies with conservation, firearms, and privacy regulations. We may remove Content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

You may not reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the Service; introduce malware; or use automated tools that degrade performance. We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect the Service, our users, or comply with legal obligations.

Feedback

If you share feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation. You retain any intellectual property rights in the suggestion itself.

Service changes and availability

We continuously improve the Service and may add, change, or remove features. We may suspend or stop the Service if it is no longer commercially viable, to address security issues, or due to events outside our control. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will provide pro-rated refunds where required by law.

Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate with services provided by others, such as payment processors, mapping providers, analytics, or storage partners. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. SafariLegacy is not responsible for third-party content or services we do not control.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the extent allowed by law, SafariLegacy and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, data, or goodwill; or service interruption. Our total liability for claims related to the Service is limited to the greater of fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose or 100 United States Dollars.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold SafariLegacy, its officers, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, create legal risk for us or others, fail to pay fees, or if required by law. Sections that by nature should survive termination (including ownership, license grants, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution) will continue in effect.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in South Africa, unless the law in your country of residence requires a different venue.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect new features, operational adjustments, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice via email or in-product messages where possible. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the changes.
